BANKS RAM-AIR INTAKE
Banks starts improving volumetric efficiency (that's what accounts
for more power and torque) right at the nose by increasing ram-air induction.
Replacing the stock paper filter element is Banks high-flow, lifetime
Ram-Air filter with streamlined TwimRam filter cover (most systems)
and filter service kit. At comparable flow ratings, suction losses dropped
from 21.8 to 6.3 in/H2O, an improvement of 71% over stock. Systems for
most Class-C motorhomes also include Banks Super-Scoop inlet.

On the exhaust side, spent air-fuel molecules must continue the freest
possible flow to liberate power. Banks accomplishes this nicely with
the help of their low-restriction Dynaflow muffler. Constructed of stainless

31/2 inch constant-diameter tailpipe for maximum flow potential - and
tops it off with a colossal, 4-inch polished stainless tailpipe tip
for a handsome finishing touch. Coupled with Banks Dynaflow muffler
and TorqueTube exhaust manifolds, Banks Monster exhaust flows with 74%
less backpressure than stock.

TORQUETUBE MANIFOLDS
Continuing the 100% stainless steel theme, Banks builds TorqueTube exhaust
manifolds that are downright bulletproof. TorqueTubes are constructed
with ultra-thick, 5/8-inch flanges that are welded 360° on all sides
- and then machined perfectly flat. (Others use thinner flanges that
are machined first, welded last and then wonder why they warp!) Because
the fit is so smooth, TorqueTubes mount without the need for sealant
or gaskets that inevitably blowout. Banks conical seal uses selflocking
fasteners where the manifold connects to the intermediate pipes, and
can be removed easily if the drivetrain needs servicing. Because TorqueTubes
are designed to run cooler, your expensive plug wires are protected
without the need for factory heatshields.
