Power-enhancement

BANKS RAM-AIR INTAKE
If you've ever stuck your hand out the window at 60 mph and felt
the force working against it, you know what ram air is. At speed, ram
air acts like a natural supercharger. Banks Ram-Air intake harnesses
cool, dense air and packs it into the engine, improving power and efficiency.
Banks behind-the-grille Super-Scoop with integral rainwater/debris separator
collects ram air, and delivers it via a 4-inch duct to Banks high-flow,
lifetime Ram-Air filter. Also included are Banks filter service kit
plus their sleek, dual-outlet TwinRam filter cover, the finishing touch
for maximum airflow.
DYNAFLOW
MUFFLER
Designed specifically for the 7.5L Ford, these Dynaflow mufflers let
the spent air-fuel molecules continue the freest possible flow through
the exhaust. Banks pays particular attention to acoustic tuning, so
you get an exhaust sound that'll give you a rush, without interfering
with in-the-cab conversation. Stainless-steel constructed Dynaflows
are virtually impervious to cracking or blowing out. Models with no
catalytic converter get an in-line duo consisting of primary and secondary
Dynaflows. Carbureted motorhomes utilize Banks aluminized Dynaflow muffler
with 3-inch outlet.
MONSTER
EXHAUST
For EFI coaches, Banks 100% stainless steel 3 1/2-inch constant-diameter
tailpipe replaces the restrictive factory pipes. Power Pack also includes
a streamlined Y-collector assembly. Banks colossal, 4-inch polished
steel tailpipe tip makes a handsome finishing touch. You have your choice
of right- or left-exit on late EFls.
HEAT SHIELDING
Banks understands that even though its systems help a vehicle run cooler,
there still is a need to protect the coach - and the environment - from
excessive radiant energy. Many in the truck and RV aftermarket do not
include heat shielding. Banks Dynaflow mufflers, Monster tailpipe and
tailpipe tip come with formed-metal heat shielding.

TORQUETUBE MANIFOLDS
Because they are the industry's only exhaust manifolds tuned to take
full advantage of motorhome power, Banks TorqueTubes unleash the most
torque. "Other tubular exhaust manifolds have short tubes designed for
the higher rpm range typically used in high-performance or racetype
applications," Banks chief designer Bob Robe explains. 'This is of little
value on a motorhome. We use much longer, and somewhat smaller diameter,
primary tubes. This and our exclusive high-velocity collectors literally
suck the exhaust out of the engine - boosting torque for stump-pulling
guts."
NO CRACKS,
NO BLOWS
So long, cracked manifolds! With their heavy-wall stainless construction,
TorqueTubes are virtually bullet-proof. Banks utilizes ultra-thick,
5/8-inch flanges that are welded 360° on all sides, then machined
perfectly flat. (Others use thinner flanges that are machined first,
welded last - and wonder why they warp!) TorqueTubes mount without sealant
or gaskets that inevitably blowout. And they run cooler, so your expensive
plug wires are protected without the need for factory heat shields.
