Diesel engines are tough on transmissions. When increasing engine performance or towing heavy loads, you need to consider the transmission. Typically, anything beyond a computer chip or small boost in horsepower and torque requires automatic transmission upgrades.
TnT Performance carries auxiliary transmissions designed to increase torque and fuel economy. Sometimes these units are referred to as gear-splitters. The systems are available in both underdrive and overdrive configurations, depending upon your needs. If you need power to get things moving or the engine lugs at low speed, you need an underdrive system. If you're in search of lower RPM at highway speed, which results in better fuel economy, you want to order an overdrive unit.
Reducing heat is extremely critical in transmissions, so we carry both special, deep oil sump transmission pans designed to eliminate excessive heat, plus added capacity filter kits designed to help get the heat out while extending transmission life. Valve body shift kits are available.
