Unleash
Your Triton V-B
Ford's family of Triton V-a-equipped trucks and Expeditions perform
serviceably in most light-duty situations, but if you challenge your
4.6 or 5.4L powerplant with a heavy toolbox or big toy, its limitations
become apparent. Fortunately, the engineers at Gale Banks Engineering
knew where to look to find and correct those limitations.
Gasping
for More
Tests on a stock 1999 Ford 5.4L EFI F-150 pickup revealed intake and
exhaust restrictions were significantly limiting engine airflow-crucial
to power and efficiency. Banks answered the call with the powerPack,
a system of streamlined, free-flowing components from Banks Ram-Air
intake through the 100% stainless-steel Monster exhaust, with an acoustic-tuned
Dynaflow muffler at its heart. A gleaming pair ofTorqueTube exhaust
manifolds, featuring the largest primary tubes available in the industry
for this application, is the crowning glory that liberates the torque
you need to haul your jet ski, pop-up camper, or workload.
Powerful
Performer
With Banks PowerPack under your hood, there's up to 25 more horsepower
and 26 more Ib-ft of torque at the rear wheels. With Banks Power the
engine pulls strongly all the way to the transmission shift points.
Substantial gains through the working range of your vehicle's powerband
translate to stronger take-offs, acceleration muscle for passing and
merging, and the towing power of Banks Power Pack to march heavy loads
up steep grades faster.
