a modest cost. Banks Stinger improves airflow starting at the air cleaner,
replacing the stock paper element with Banks Ram-Air free-breathing,
lifetime filter. Banks OttoMind engine calibration module changes
the shape of the fuel curve to match the improved airflow and optimize
power right up to the shift points. On the exhaust side, Stinger exchanges
the restrictive factory pipes for Banks stainless, free-flowing Monster
T.O.P. (turbine outlet pipe) and stainless 3 Vrinch constant-diameter
Monster tailpipe with a colossal 4-inch polished tip. Banks does not
include a new muffler, because tests proved Ford's own flows very well
- in fact, it flows 20% better than the so-called "performance" mufflers
others sell unnecessarily! Stinger includes Banks DynaFact pyrometer-and-boost
gauge assembly.

get-go, this is for you. Banks builds the Stinger-Plus system by adding
Banks Quick-Turbo turbine housing to the Stinger package. The
Quick-Turbo's smaller volume captures more boost energy for strong,
crisp acceleration that feels like your Power Stroke's on rocket fuel.
Stinger-Plus systems achieve boost 75% quicker and raise the peak boost
by 65% over the stock set-up. Instead of targeting ultra-high boost
within a small rpm range, Banks designed the turbine housing to provide
optimal performance throughout the entire power range, without limiting
power at higher rpms.

PowerPack supplies the ultimate in power, performance and durability
by adding Banks exclusive Techni-Cooler intercooler assembly
to the Stinger-Plus system. The Techni-Cooler package includes Banks
plate-and-fin intercooler for high throughput, and TwinRam'M manifold
to distribute airflow evenly to the engine. On the flow-bench, the "other"
intercooler showed a 30% differential from one side to the other. The
Techni-Cooler comes with a set of air-containment flaps to keep the
cool, dense air on its way to your radiator. Banks methodology assures
maximum boost air cooling with minimum boost pressure drop, and will
not interfere with engine cooling. Due to the volume of the intercooler,
a PowerPack-equipped truck's throttle response is a little softer from
a standing start, but in terms of raw pulling power and torque, it drives
circles around all the rest. The Techni-Cooler package also includes
high-flow ducting, shock mounts and flexible silicone connections for
lifetime durability.
